Wolf Theiss advises Grenke AG on the sale of its factoring division to Teylor
Warsaw, 15 April 2025 – Wolf Theiss, in collaboration with Hengeler Mueller, advised Grenke AG, a global financing partner for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), on the sale of its factoring business to Teylor, a leading technology-driven platform for SME financing.
Wolf Theiss acted as Polish counsel alongside Grenke’s lead counsel, Hengeler Mueller, providing comprehensive legal advice on the local legal and regulatory aspects of the sale, as well as on bridge financing (including the establishment of security over factoring receivables and the collection account).
As part of the first phase of the transaction, Teylor will acquire Grenke’s factoring activities in Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Poland. In the medium term, it also aims to acquire the companies in Italy and Portugal. This step accelerates the expansion of the Teylor Platform into six additional European countries and further strenghtens its position as the leading SME lending platform in Europe. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals in Germany, with closing expected later in 2025.
The Polish Wolf Theiss team was led by Partner Maciej Olszewski (Corporate/ M&A) and supported by Counsel Adrian Krzyżanowski (Banking & Finance).
