About Igor Muszynski
Igor Muszyński is a partner in the Energy team in Poland. He has over 30 years of professional experience advising on major and frequently pioneering transactions and projects in conventional and renewable energy, including off-shore wind projects.
Igor is one of the most experienced energy sector lawyers in Poland. He worked for the Ministry of Economy drafting the Energy Law adopted in 1997. He has advised domestic and international clients active in electricity, natural gas, heat supply and mining industries. Igor has a proven track record of representing clients in complex and precedent cases before regulatory bodies and courts, including the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Supreme Court and the European Commission.
He is the author and co-author of several publications including the first and now the most recent commentary to the Energy Law, the Renewable Energy Act and the very first commentary to the Polish Off-Shore Wind Energy Act of 2020. He is the cofounder and Vice President of the Energy Law Lawyers Association.
Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Igor worked as Partner in other prominent domestic and international law firms in Warsaw. Over the years, he has been also recognised in multiple international legal directories such as Chambers & Partners (Band 1, Energy and Natural Resources), The Legal 500 (Hall of Fame, Energy and Natural Resources) and IFLR1000 (Highly regarded, Energy and Infrastructure), placing him among the best practitioners in his field.
