Another success for Wolf Theiss’ Warsaw energy team in advising Pacifico Energy Partners on the purchase of several PV portfolios.

Wolf Theiss’ energy practice, led by Konrad Kosicki, has advised long-standing client Pacifico Energy Partners on the expansion of its PV portfolio to include several large-scale PV projects with an anticipated total capacity of up to 250 MW (combined). This significant PV project strengthens the energy practice’s position in the market.

The Warsaw team, supervised by Counsel Konrad Kosicki and consisting of Senior Associate Joanna Wajdzik and Associate Karolina Lewandowska, advised Pacifico Energy Partners through every stage of the transactions. The scope of the team’s work concerned conducting full due diligence of the PV portfolio, preparing the transaction documentation, as well as other project-related and regulatory work. Wolf Theiss assisted the client in the conclusion of multiple agreements for the development of projects located in south-western Poland.

This transaction is essential for the transition from conventional to green energy in respect of the eventual outcome, which is the expansion of the company’s pipeline in Poland, with five projected PV constructions in the constantly growing renewable energy sector. Pacificio Energy Partners are mainly focused on wind and solar energy, as well as development and asset management. The company also develops greenfield projects, repowers existing plants, provides state-of-the-art asset management services, and facilitates the acquisition of operational and turn-key plants across Europe. This transaction is important both for the client’s market recognition and for the Polish renewable energy market itself.

The Energy and Natural Resources team at Warsaw office advises clients in the acquisition, development and financing of conventional and renewable energy projects, covering all regulatory issues and trading aspects of electricity, natural gas and green certificates. The practice started with the arrival of Konrad Kosicki at the end of 2019, and will take on another expert before the end of this year. The Polish energy team is part of a leading team in the CEE region ranked Band 3 by Chambers and Partners. Konrad Kosicki, who is ranked Band 4 individually by Chambers Europe too, is a key expert for energy matters in CEE market.
