Claudia Chiper named partner at Wolf Theiss
Claudia has extensive experience in dealing with and coordinating complex finance transactions as well as advising international and domestic financial institutions, and corporations, including investment funds, in relation to regulatory, and capital markets law. She has led a significant number of banking and finance transactions and her client base includes some of the biggest banking groups present in Romania, as well as international finance corporations. Claudia is recognised as a high profile expert by renowned legal directories such as Chambers & Partners, Global and Europe, which quotes that she is “business-oriented and sees the big picture and explains it clearly” and demonstrates “in-depth legal knowledge and negotiation skills”.
Her most recent benchmark transactions involve advising on some of the largest NPL transactions; advising on the financing transaction granted to Revetas and Cerberus for the purposes of financing the acquisition of Radisson Hotel, Park Inn and the ancillary amenities in Bucharest (the largest real estate transaction in Romania in 2017); advising on a number of private placements of bonds governed by Romanian law.

Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Claudia has been senior legal counsel at the Romanian Ministry of Justice. In addition to a Romanian law degree obtained in 2003, she holds an LL.M degree awarded in 2007 by Queen Mary University of London.
