Wolf Theiss advises Banca Comerciala Romana S.A. on its RON 1 billion bonds
Banca Comerciala Romana S.A. successfully closed its first issue in 2021 of Non-Preferred Senior Notes in amount of RON 1 billion. The notes have a maturity of seven years and were placed with professional clients and eligible counterparties with a coupon of 3.90 per cent. per annum. The denomination is RON 500,000 per note. The notes are intended to be eligible for MREL (Minimum Requirement for Own Funds and Eligible Liabilities) purposes, based on confirmation of the National Bank of Romania. It is expected that the Notes are listed on the Regulated Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The closing took place on 21 May 2021.
Under the lead of Partners Claus Schneider and Claudia Chiper, the Wolf Theiss’ international Debt Capital Market (DCM) team involved in this project included Senior Associate Nikolaus Dinhof and Associates Andreea Tudorache and Sebastian Prakljacic.
