Wolf Theiss honored in Women in Business Law Awards, winning “Best in Austria”, “Best in Croatia”, “Best in Romania”

The law firm’s success in the three national categories "Austria", "Croatia" and "Romania" in 2016, 2015 and 2014 follows previous successes for "Austria" in 2012 and 2013, for "Croatia" in 2013, and for "Best National Firm for Pro Bono Work" in 2014. This year Wolf Theiss was also shortlisted for "Best in Czech Republic", "Best Gender Diversity Initiative by National Firm", "Best National Firm for Work-Life Balance", "Best National Firm for Pro Bono Work" and "Best National Firm for Women in Business Law". Ileana Glodeanu (Partner, Wolf Theiss Bucharest) and Doris Buxbaum (Counsel, Wolf Theiss Vienna) accepted the awards on behalf of the firm.
Upon receiving the awards for Croatia and Romania, Ileana Glodeanu said, "We are proud to have been recognized once again in these three national categories and short-listed in a fourth. These awards show that Wolf Theiss is committed to promoting the professional development of women throughout the CEE/SEE region." Doris Buxbaum added, "Our initiatives in supporting female lawyers have set a precedent in the field, as this recognition shows. That three different Wolf Theiss offices have received awards is proof that a large, cross-jurisdictional firm such as ours can still pay attention to the needs and ambitions of women in our profession."
The Europe Women in Business Law Awards were created to recognize law firms and other professional services firms for their efforts in helping women advance in the legal profession. The awards recognize those law firms which are particularly committed to supporting women lawyers, for example through special programs enabling women to better combine job and family or through initiatives encouraging networking among female lawyers as well as promotion opportunities for female lawyers in the legal profession. The Awards are conferred by a Euromoney Legal Media Group research team and are based on peer review interviews with leading female practitioners across multiple areas of law and jurisdictions.
