“Over the past year we were involved in a wide range of complex and challenging transactions and it’s a great honour for us to be acknowledged in one of the most prestigious rankings in Poland,” said Przemek Kozdój, Partner and Head of the Banking and Finance team at Wolf Theiss in Warsaw. “We would like to thank all our clients for their trust. Without a doubt, this recognition encourages us to work even harder.”

The team recently advised lenders, including: Berlin Hyp AG, Santander Bank Polska S.A., Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski S.A., ING Bank Śląski S.A., Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A., mBank S.A. and Erste Group Bank AG, as well as borrowers, including Panattoni, Savills, Avestus Real Estate, 6B47, on a wide spectrum of matters, including multi-jurisdictional real estate finance projects, acquisition and export finance, as well as regulatory advice and financial restructurings.

“We are seeing a wave of Polish businesses that are interested in expanding abroad, and they are often looking at markets outside the European Union,” said Stefan Feliniak, Senior Associate at Wolf Theiss in Warsaw. “Export and acquisition finance deals are set to grow in volume as domestic companies become increasingly competitive on foreign markets and certain Polish lenders are ready to provide tailor-made financing structures.”

“Real estate finance projects are also of growing significance to our clients as more and more global funds flow into the region’s robust property market,” said Michał Kulig, Senior Associate at Wolf Theiss in Warsaw. “With Wolf Theiss’ established presence in all major countries across the CEE/SEE region, we can utilize our financing expertise and commercial experience to the benefit of our clients.”

A total of 304 Polish law firms took part in the 17th edition of the Polish ranking.
