Wolf Theiss expands Corporate M&A practice with partner Tomasz Siembida

Warsaw, 8 September 2022 – After recently strengthening its Real Estate & Construction practice, Wolf Theiss expands its Corporate M&A practice with the addition of expert Tomasz Siembida as a new Partner in Warsaw.

Tomasz Siembida has accumulated 25 years of professional experience in the Polish and international markets. He specialises in public and private M&A, corporate law in its broadest sense, including corporate governance and corporate restructuring, as well as corporate disputes. Tomasz has extensive experience in cross-border transactions and domestic mergers and acquisitions. He advises on structuring transactions and optimising capital groups. In recent years, Tomasz has advised on numerous transactions and restructurings, including in the sectors of banking, pharmaceutical, consumer products production, entertainment, development, energy and transport. Now, together with Jacek Michalski, Partner and practice lead in Poland, he will focus fully on developing our market recognition.

We believe that the addition of Tomasz will create a synergistic effect which will boost the development of the Polish Corporate M&A practice. It is another carefully calculated step in the firm’s dynamic expansion in the market.

Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Tomasz cooperated as a Counsel with another prominent international law firm in Warsaw, was a Partner in a Polish boutique law firm, as well as acting as an independent advisor. He represents both investors (institutional and individual) and all entities that are subject to transactions. In all cases, his main focus is to understand business operational rules and the clients’ needs.

He is an expert in corporate governance, and acts as chairman of general shareholders meetings in both public and private companies. He also represents shareholders and boards in crisis and hostile situations, as well as judicial proceedings. Furthermore, Tomasz is a member of the Supervisory Board of a public company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

On the one hand, I believe that joining Wolf Theiss opens up prospects and resources to pursue projects that I would not have been able to do as an independent lawyer, while on the other hand, my long and varied experience will allow me to strengthen Wolf Theiss’ corporate and transactional practice. The goal set is ambitious, but Wolf Theiss has a large and experienced team which gives me confidence that soon we will be able to enter a higher league.
