Wolf Theiss welcomes new partner leading the Energy & Natural resources team in Warsaw
Warsaw, 1 February 2023 – Wolf Theiss welcomes Igor Muszyński as a new partner leading the Energy & Natural Resources team in Warsaw. Igor is a pioneer in the energy sector in Poland, co-author of the country’s Energy Law and a recognised authority in his field.
With over three decades of experience, Igor is a prominent energy sector lawyer in Poland, having worked for the Ministry of Economy drafting the Energy Law adopted in 1997. He has extensive experience advising on major transactions and projects in conventional and renewable energy, including off-shore wind projects.
Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Igor worked as a Partner in other prominent law firms in Warsaw. He has advised clients active in the electricity, natural gas, heat supply and mining industries. With his expertise and deep knowledge of local and international markets, Igor will play a key role in helping the firm expand its presence in the region.

Igor has a proven track record of representing clients in complex and precedent-setting cases before regulatory bodies and courts, including the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Supreme Court of Poland, and the European Commission. He is the author and co-author of several publications including the first and the most recent commentary on Poland’s Energy Law, the Renewable Energy Act and the first commentary on the Polish Off-Shore Wind Act of 2020. He is the co-founder and Vice President of the Energy Law Lawyers Association.
